Abstract
Methods for treating specific patient groups for sexual dysfunction are provided. The methods of the present invention comprise the utilization of cilostazol and pharmaceutical compositions comprising cilostazol in patients. In one embodiment, patients are free of cardiac disease. In other embodiments, patients have not been treated with a drug that causes hypotensive effects, and/or who have not been given organic nitrites or nitrates. Cilostazol and pharmaceutical compositions of cilostazol are administered to patients orally, cutaneously, transurethrally, intracavemosally, by injection, intranasally, or through respiratory inhalation.
Claims17
A method, comprising:
- a) providing:
- i) a patient suffering from symptoms of sexual dysfunction, and
- ii) cilostazol;
- and
- b) administering said cilostazol to said patient such that such symptoms are reduced.
A method, comprising:
- a) providing:
- i) a patient suffering from symptoms of sexual dysfunction, wherein said patient is not being treated with nitrates and
- ii) cilostazol;
- and
- b) administering said cilostazol to said patient such that said symptoms are reduced.
