Abstract
An ink jet recording sheet having a high gloss and ink absorbing property and capable of recording clear ink images having a high and uniform color density, includes a cast-coated ink-receiving layer formed on a substrate sheet and containing fine silica particles with an average primary particle size of 3 to 40 nm and an average secondary particle size of 10 to 400 nm and a binder.
Claims12
An ink jet recording sheet comprising
- a substrate sheet,
- an undercoat layer formed on a surface of the substrate sheet and
- a cast-coated layer formed on the undercoat layer,
- wherein
- the undercoat layer comprises a pigment comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of amorphous silica, alumina and zeolite pigments and a binder formed from a polyurethane resin dispersed in an aqueous medium, and is ink-absorbing, and
- the cast-coated layer comprises fine silica particles having an average primary particle size of 3 to 40 nm and an average secondary particle size of 10 to 300 nm.
