Abstract
A class of waxes improves the low temperature flow properties of oils.
Claims14
A fuel oil composition comprising fuel oil and a minor proportion of one or more petroleum waxes, characterized in that at least one wax has a melting point in the range of 42° C. to 59° C. and a refractive index in the range of 1.445 to 1.458, measured at 70° C.
A method for improving the low temperature flow properties of a fuel oil, comprising adding to the fuel oil one or more petroleum waxes, characterized in that at least one wax has a melting point in the range of 42° C. to 59° C. and a refractive index in the range of 1.445 to 1.458, measured at 70° C.
