Abstract
A process for the hydrogenation of reaction mixtures from the hydroformylation of C5 to C24 olefins using hydrogen on fixed catalysts at elevated temperature, in which the aldehydes, alcohols, formates and low-boilers are evaporated from the reaction mixture and passed in the vapor state over a support-free Cu/Cr catalyst.
Claims22
A process for the hydrogenation of reaction mixtures from the hydroformylation of C5 to C24 olefins, comprising:
- evaporating the aldehydes, alcohols, formates and low-boilers from a reaction mixture obtained from the hydroformylation of C5 to C24 olefins to produce a vapor;
- and
- reacting the vapor with hydrogen in the presence of a support-free Cu/Cr catalyst.
