Abstract
Rhotekin polypeptides and polynucleotides and methods for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for utilizing rhotekin polypeptides and polynucleotides in diagnostic assays.
Claims8
A process for producing a polypeptide which comprises:
- (a) culturing a host cell containing an exogenous vector wherein said vector contains in one contiguous sequence, an isolated polynucleotide encoding rhotekin of SEQ ID No:2, under conditions sufficient for the production of said polypeptide;
- and
- (b) recovering said polypeptide from the culture.
A process for producing a recombinant host cell which comprises the step of:
- (a) introducing the exogenous expression vector of an isolated contiguous polynucleotide comprising a polynucleotide encoding a rhotekin having identity to the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID No:2, and which has the rho binding function of rhotekin;
- and
- (b) selecting for the recombinant host cell that produces said rhotekin.
An isolated recombinant host cell containing an exogenous vector wherein said vector contains in one contiguous sequence, an isolated polynucleotide encoding rhotekin of SEQ ID No:2.
An isolated polynucleotide comprising a contiguous polynucleotide sequence encoding a rhotekin set forth in SEQ ID No:2, and which has the rho binding function of rhotekin.
An isolated polynucleotide which is fully complementary to the isolated polynucleotide encoding the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID No:2.
