Abstract
Disclosed is a controlled release tacrine dosage form, which comprises: (a) a core; (b) an inner active layer comprising tacrine and a binder; (c) a release-controlling layer comprising one or more release-controlling-film-forming polymer; and (d) an active overcoat comprising tacrine and a binder. Also disclosed is a process for preparing the controlled release dosage form.

A controlled release tacrine dosage form comprising a multi-layered pellet or pellets comprising:
- (a) a core;
- (b) an inner active layer comprising tacrine and a binder;
- (c) a release-controlling layer comprising one or more release-controlling film-forming polymer;
- and
- (d) an active overcoat comprising tacrine and a binder.
