Abstract
Compounds of Formula (1) and salts thereof: wherein: Ar1 is substituted aryl wherein at least one substituent is —COOH; R1 is H or optionally substituted alkyl; L is substituted phenyl carrying at least one substituent at the 2-position, or optionally substituted naphthyl. Also claimed are compositions comprising a compound of the Formula (1) and a water-soluble magenta dye, liquid compositions, especially inks, containing a compound of Formula (1), an ink jet printing process using the inks, a substrate printed with the inks, and an ink jet printer cartridge and an ink jet printer containing the inks.

A compound of Formula (1) and salts thereof:
- wherein:
- Ar1 is substituted aryl carrying at least one —COOH group;
- R1 is H or optionally substituted alkyl;
- L is substituted phenyl carrying at least one substituent at the 2-position, or optionally substituted naphthyl.
