Abstract
Hydroprocessing of petroleum and chemical feedstocks using bulk Group VIII/Group VIB catalysts. Preferred catalysts include those comprised of Ni--Mo--W.
Claims11
A process for hydroprocessing petroleum and chemical feedstocks, which process comprises contacting said feedstock, at hydroprocessing conditions, with a catalyst composition comprising a nickel species of nickel molybdate in which at least a portion but less than all of molybdenum is replaced by tungsten, the nickel species being represented by the formula:
- (Ni).sub.b (Mo).sub.c (W).sub.d O.sub.z
- wherein the molar ratio of b to (c+d) ranges from 0.5/1 to 3/1 and the molar ratio of c to d is greater than or equal to 0.01/1, and z=(2b+6)/2.
