Abstract
A method of treating fungal infections with a mixture of isomers of 2R,4S-hydroxyitraconazole and their sulfate and phosphate derivatives is disclosed. Pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds are also disclosed.
Claims22
A method for treating fungal, yeast and dermatophyte infection comprising administering to a mammal suffering from said infection a therapeutically effective amount of a mixture of isomers of formulae:
- ##STR9## wherein R is hydrogen, --P(O)(OH).sub.2, --SO.sub.3 H or a salt thereof.
A mixture of isomers of formulae:
- ##STR10## wherein R is hydrogen, --P(O)(OH).sub.2, SO.sub.3 H or a salt thereof, with the proviso that when R is hydrogen, the mixture cannot be a 1:1 mixture of isomers 3 and 4.
