Abstract
A noctilucent or fluorescent artificial stone comprising a mixture of a resin and 5-65 wt % with respect to the total weight of the artificial stone of a transparent inorganic aggregate, on which a luminous or fluorescent substance emitting light accompanied by absorption of ultraviolet rays, is baked, or coated.

An artificial stone comprising resin and inorganic aggregate (A) comprising transparent inorganic aggregate (A1) and non-transparent inorganic aggregate (A2), wherein A=A1+A2, said transparent inorganic aggregate (A1) comprising aggregate baked or coated with a noctilucent or fluorescent substance (A11), the latter emitting light accompanied by absorption of ultraviolet rays and non-coated aggregate (A12), wherein A1=A11+A12 and wherein at least part of inorganic aggregate (A) is transparent inorganic aggregate baked or coated with noctilucent or fluorescent substance (A11), and the content of this aggregate (A11) in the artificial stone (total amount B) is 5 to 65 wt %, and wherein (A11/B).times.100=5 to 65 wt %.
