Abstract
The invention relates to peptides or fragments thereof which are immunochemically reactive with Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) antibodies. New antibodies directed to said peptides or fragments thereof are also part of the invention.
Claims19
A peptide selected from the group consisting of:
- the amino acid sequences of SEQ ID NO:1, 2, 5;
- antigenic portions thereof that are reactive with antibodies to Epstein-Barr Virus;
- and combinations of two or more of said sequences or said antigenic portions which are covalently linked directly to each other or directly via a cross-linking agent or amino acid linker sequence.
An isolated peptide selected from the group consisting of:
- the amino acid sequences of SEQ ID NO:1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, parts thereof that are immunochemically reactive with Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) antiserum;
- and combinations of two or more of said sequences or said parts which are covalently linked directly to each other or directly via a cross-linking agent or amino acid linker sequence.
An isolated antibody immunochemically reactive with a peptide selected from the group consisting of the amino acid sequences of SEQ ID NOs:1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
