Abstract
Polyolefin fibers are dyed with an emulsion that is prepared by mixing water with a long chain anthraquinone dye dissolved in an organic solvent.

A method of dyeing polyolefin fibers wherein the fibers are contacted with a colloidal emulsion at or above the glass transition temperature of the polyolefin, the emulsion having been prepared by mixing water with a long chain alkylaminoanthraquinone dye dissolved in an organic solvent.
