Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of GABA.sub.B receptor agonists for the inhibition of transient lower esophageal sphincter relaxations, and for the treatment of gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
Claims13
A method for the inhibition of transient lower esophageal sphincter relaxations which comprises administering to a mammal in need of such treatment an effective amount of a GABA.sub.B receptor agonist, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or an optical isomer of the GABA.sub.B receptor agonist.
