Described are a polymerizable composition comprising methyl styrene monomer, polymers comprising monomeric units derived from methyl styrene monomers, and optical products comprising these polymers.
Claims33
A polymerizable composition comprising methyl styrene monomer of the general formula:
- ##STR17## one or more comonomers comprising at least one high index of refraction comonomer.
A polymerizable composition comprising methyl styrene monomer of the general formula:
- ##STR19## wherein the polymerizable composition has an index of refraction of at least 1.55.
An optical product comprising a polymeric material comprising monomeric units derived from methyl styrene monomer of the general formula:
- ##STR20##
A microstructure-bearing article comprising an optical layer derived from a polymerizable composition comprising methyl styrene monomer.
