Abstract
Erasure of an x-ray imaging device is performed by applying high voltage and erasing light simultaneously. The polarity of the high voltage may be reversed during the erasure operation. This produces an erasure that eliminates non-uniformities or ghosts arising from a previous image.
Claims15
A method of erasure of an x-ray imaging device which uses high bias voltage of between 3000 V and 10,000 V of positive polarity or between -100 V and -10,000 V of negative polarity during the image capture process, which comprises simultaneously applying high voltage and light to the device so as to erase a previous image on said device.
