Abstract
An innovative method of making pinatas utilizes pre-cut and scored cardstock designed with tab and slot closures. Once the shapes are folded and secured, the pinatas can be decorated using traditional or innovative methods. By designing the tab/slot closure of the body on the bottom of the pinata, the enclosed treats may be released in a non-destructive manner.
Claims15
A method for making pinatas comprising the steps of:
- (a.) cutting and scoring a sheet material according to a given pattern;
- (b.) folding said sheet material along the lines of scoring;
- (c.) fastening said sheet material so that it retains its folded form without using any structural elements that are not sheet material;
- (d.) providing a suspension element by which said pinatas can be suspended;
- wherein said folding and fastening steps create a hollow container, said container having a main portion and at least one hollow portion which extends outward from said main portion;
- wherein said portion of said hollow container which extends outward from said main portion is formed by multiple interior folds of said sheet material.
A method for making pinatas comprising the steps of:
- (a.) cutting and scoring a sheet material according to a given pattern;
- (b.) folding said sheet material along the lines of scoring to form a hollow container for storing treats or candies;
- (c.) fastening said sheet material so that it retains its folded form without the use of any rigid structural elements that are not sheet material;
- (d.) attaching said folded sheet material to a second folded sheet material to form a second hollow container;
- (e.) providing a suspension element by which said pinatas can be suspended;
- wherein said pinata comprises multiple pieces of said sheet material.
A method for making pinatas comprising the steps of:
- (a.) cutting and scoring a first piece of a paperboard material according to a given pattern;
- (b.) folding said paperboard material along the lines of scoring to form a hollow container for holding treats or candies;
- (c.) fastening said paperboard material so that it retains its folded form without using any structural elements that are not paperboard;
- (d.) attaching a second piece of folded paperboard material to the folded form of said first piece to form a second hollow container;
- (e.) providing a suspension element by which said pinata can be suspended.
A method for making pinatas comprising the steps of:
- (a.) cutting and scoring a first piece of a paperboard material according to a given pattern;
- (b.) folding said paperboard material along the lines of scoring to form a hollow container said container having a main portion and at least one hollow portion which extends outward from said main portion;
- (c.) fastening said paperboard material so that it retains its folded form without using structural elements which are not of paperboard;
- (d.) providing a suspension element by which said pinatas can be suspended;
- wherein said portion of said hollow container which extends outward from said main portion is formed by multiple interior folds of said paperboard material.
