Abstract
Cationic azo dyes of the formula I ##STR1## where the variables are as defined in the specification, amines as their intermediates, processes for preparing them, their use for dyeing and printing natural or synthtic substrates, and their mixtures are described.
Claims10
A cationic azo dye of the formula I ##STR39## where n is a number from 0 to 8,
- R.sup.1 is hydrogen, nitro, halogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl,
- R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are independently hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl or together with the carbon atom linking them are a cyclopentyl or cyclohexyl radical,
- K is the radical of a coupling component,
- A is oxy, imino or unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylimino,
- B is C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylene which may be interrupted by 1 or 2 nonadjacent oxy, imino or unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylimino groups and a radical ##STR40## Q.sup.1, Q.sup.2 and Q.sup.3 independently are hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 -alkyl which may be interrupted by from 1 to 4 nonadjacent oxy, imino and unsubstituted or substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylimino groups and may be substituted by hydroxyl, halogen or phenyl, and Q.sup.1 and Q.sup.2 together with the nitrogen atom linking them are a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic radical with or without nitrogen or oxygen as a further heteroatom, and
- An.sup..crclbar. is the equivalent of an anion.
3 more elements
