The invention relates to a process for magnetorelaxometric quantitative detection of analytes in liquid and solid phases, compounds for magnetorelaxometric detection, and their use in analysis and immunomagnetography.

A method for qualitative and/or quantitative detection of analytes in liquid phase or solid phase, comprising labeling the analytes with ferromagnetic colloidal particles or ferrimagnetic colloidal particles, and determining relaxation of magnetization of said labeled analytes as a qualitative or quantitative measurement of the analyte.
