Abstract
Methods for targeting cytotoxins to target sites by administration of a combination of conjugates are provided. Novel cytotoxic combinations for use in such methods are also provided.
Claims3
A method of increasing localization of a cytokine at a target cell site within a mammalian recipient, which method comprises:
- administering to the recipient a first conjugate comprising a targeting moiety and streptavidin;
- and
- subsequently administering to the recipient a second conjugate comprising a cytokine and biotin, wherein the method further comprises reducing the recipient's endogenous biotin level prior to, concurrently with or following administration of the first conjugate.
A method of increasing localization of a cytokine at a target cell site within a mammalian recipient, which method comprises:
- administering to the recipient a first conjugate comprising a targeting moiety and streptavidin;
- and
- subsequently administering to the recipient a second conjugate comprising dextran-TNF-biotin, and further may comprise a cleavable linker which provides for the release of tumor necrosis factor at the target cell site.
