Abstract
Novel gene, rin2, and encoded protein are disclosed which can inhibit the functional response induced by Ras-dependent signaling pathways are disclosed. Methods of inhibiting or enhancing Ras-dependent signaling and methods of treatment utilizing Rin2 are also disclosed.
Claims8
An isolated Rin2 polypeptide which down-regulates functional responses elicited by ligand-dependent activation, or auto activation, of Ras-mediated signaling pathways, wherein said polypeptide comprises at least one sequence selected from the group consisting of:
- SEQ ID NO:
- 8, SEQ ID NO;
- 10, SEQ ID NO:
- 12 and combinations thereof.
An isolated Rin2 polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 2, which polypeptide down-regulates functional responses elicited by ligand-dependent activation, or auto activation, of Ras-mediated signaling pathways.
