Abstract
A method for the prophylaxis and treatment of irritable bowel syndrome, which comprises administering a pharmaceutically effective amount of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of (.+-.)-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5,6-dihydro-[1]benzothiepino [5,4-c]pyridazin-3(2H)-one 7-oxide, optical isomers thereof and 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5,6-dihydro-[1]benzothiepino[5,4-c]pyridazin-3(2H)-one 7,7-dioxide to a subject in need of such prophylaxis or treatment.

A method for the prophylaxis or treatment of irritable bowel syndrome, which comprises administering a pharmaceutically effective amount of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of (.+-.)-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5,6-dihydro-[1]benzothiepino[5,4-c]pyridazin-3(2 H)-one 7-oxide, optical isomers thereof and 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5,6-dihydro-[1]benzothiepino[5,4-c]pyridazin-3(2H)-one 7,7-dioxide to a subject in need of said prophylaxis or treatment.
