Abstract
The present invention relates to .DELTA..sup.16 unsaturated steroids which are useful as steroid C.sub.17-20 lyase inhibitors.
Claims12
A method of inhibiting the steroid C.sub.17-20 lyase activity in a patient in need thereof comprising administering to said patient an effective inhibitory amount of a compound of the formula:

- W is selected from the group consisting of:

A method of inhibiting the steroid C.sub.17-20 lyase activity in a patient in need thereof comprising administering to said patient an effective inhibitory amount of a compound of the formula:
