An isolated and purified oligonucleotide sequence which is the coding region of the p33.sup.IG1 DNA shown in SEQ ID NO:

A process for producing p33.sup.IG1 which comprises transforming a host cell with an oligonucleotide sequence which is the coding region of the p33.sup.IG1 DNA shown in SEQ ID NO:
- 1, culturing the transformed cell and recovering p33.sup.IG1 from the cell culture.
