Abstract
A magneto-optical recording medium, in which a magnetic wall is displaced to thereby enlarge a magnetic domain so as to reproduce a micro magnetic domain representing information, that has a non-magnetic substrate, a magnetic layer laminated on the substrate, and a projection-recess portion representing information formed on the surface of the substrate. The direction of magnetization of the magnetic layer on the projection-recess portion and the direction of magnetization of the magnetic layer on a region other than the projection-recess portion are oriented oppositely to each other.
Claims9
A magneto-optical recording medium in which a magnetic wall is displaced to thereby enlarge a magnetic domain so as to reproduce a micro magnetic domain representing information, comprising:
- a non-magnetic substrate;
- a magnetic layer laminated on said substrate;
- and
- a projection-recess portion representing information formed on the surface of said substrate,
- wherein the direction of magnetization of said magnetic layer on said projection-recess portion and the direction of magnetization of said magnetic layer on a region other than said projection-recess portion are oriented oppositely to each other.
