Abstract
This invention discloses organoleptically acceptable formulations containing non-solubilized S(+) 1,8-diethyl-1,3,4,9-tetrahydropyrano3,4-b!indole-1-acetic acid, preferably with an acidic component, also known as S(+)etodolic acid or S(+)etodolac.
Claims12
An organoleptically acceptable oral pharmaceutical composition comprising non-solubilized S(+) 1,8-diethyl-1,3,4,9-tetrahydropyrano3,4-b!indole-1-acetic acid substantially free of R(-) 1,8-diethyl-1,3,4,9-tetrahydropyrano3,4-b!indole-1-acetic acid and a pharmaceutically and organoleptically acceptable acidic component, the acidic component being of sufficient amount to maintain the pH of the formulation between about 2 and about 6.
