Abstract
A system and method are disclosed for molding a part, such as a point-of-purchase display, is shown. The system comprises a plasticator and press. The molded part comprises an in-molded graphics sheet which becomes molded integral with the part.
Claims18
A molded part comprising:
- a compression molded part molded from a plurality of materials comprising a predetermined amount of a reinforcing fiber and thermoplastic polymers;
- and
- a sheet integrally molded into said part, said sheet comprising a graphics side facing away from said part.
A basketball backboard comprising:
- a backboard member molded from a plurality of materials comprising a predetermined amount of a reinforcing fiber and thermoplastic polymers;
- and
- a sheet integrally molded into said backboard member, said sheet comprising a graphics side facing away from said part.
