Abstract
The invention relates to particles having a core comprising a peroxy compound with capability of releasing hydrogen peroxide or peroxy acids in aqueous solutions, which particles have a coating containing alkali metal silicate and a chelating agent. The invention also relates to preparation and use of the particles as well as a composition containing such particles.

Particles having a core comprising a peroxy compound with capability of releasing hydrogen peroxide or peroxy acids in aqueous solutions, wherein the particles have a coating containing alkali metal silicate and an aliphatic organic compound or a salt thereof as a chelating agent, wherein said organic compound comprises from 2 to 10 carbon atoms and one or more carboxylic acid groups.
A method of preparing particles, comprising applying a coating on particles of a peroxy compound with capability of releasing hydrogen peroxide or peroxy acids in aqueous solutions, said coating containing alkali metal silicate and an aliphatic organic compound or a salt thereof as a chelating agent, wherein said organic compound comprises from 2 to 10 carbon atoms and one or more carboxylic acid groups.
