Abstract
Linker compounds for formation of stably-linked conjugates are disclosed. Such linker compounds are aminooxy-containing linker compounds useful in forming conjugates having stable oxime linkages. The stably-linked conjugates have utility in a variety of immunodiagnostic and separation techniques.

A compound having the structure:
- X--(CH.sub.2).sub.n --O--N.dbd.C(R.sub.1)--B
- wherein X is selected from a reactive functional group and a protected reactive functional group;
- n=1-12;
- R.sub.1 is selected from a hydrogen and a C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl group;
- and B is a component which is useful in biopharmaceutical or bioanalytical applications selected from a solid support, a protein, a receptor and a nucleic acid.

- wherein A is a first component which is useful in biopharmaceutical or bioanalytical applications;
- Y is a covalent linkage;
- n=1-12;
