Abstract
Salts of formula RCOOR'R".sub.2 N.sup.+ (CH.sub.2).sub.n OH wherein R represents the alkenyl radical of a C.sub.20 -C.sub.22 omega-3-polyunsaturated acid; R' represents a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 alkyl radical; R" represents R', as above defined, or (CH.sub.2).sub.n OH hydroxyalkyl radical where n is 2 or 3; and their use as cardiovascular agents.
Claims12
Salts of C.sub.20 -C.sub.22 omega-3 polyunsaturated acids with aminoalcohols, having the following general formula (I)
- R--COO.sup.- R'R".sub.2 N.sup.+ --(CH.sub.2).sub.n --OH (I)
- wherein:
- n is 2 or 3
- R represents the alkenyl radical of a C.sub.20 -C.sub.22 omega-3 polyunsaturated acid;
- R' represents a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 alkyl radical;
- R" represents R' as above defined, or a (CH.sub.2).sub.n OH hydroxyalkyl radical where n is 2 or 3 provided that when R' is hydrogen, R" is not (CH.sub.2).sub.2 OH.
