Abstract
A pressure-sensitive adhesive comprises an elastomer having a partially oriented and partially crystallized elastomer component. Articles comprising the pressure-sensitive adhesive on a backing or substrate are also disclosed, as are methods of preparing the adhesive and the articles.
Claims11
A pressure-sensitive adhesive article comprising a substrate and pressure-sensitive adhesive layer thereon, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive comprises a partially oriented and partially crystallized elastomer sufficient to permit the pressure sensitive adhesive layer to display orientation when measured by optical birefringence, infrared dichroism or x-ray diffraction, and to display crystallinity when measured by differential scanning calorimetry or x-ray diffraction.
