Method and apparatus for recording and reproducing language learning information on/from a compact disk

An apparatus for reproducing language information from a compact disk comprising:

• a detecting circuit operable to receive a signal from a pickup device, said signal including reproduction information data from a general signal area of said compact disk;
• processor circuitry coupled to said detecting circuit and programmed to determine the reproduction order of channels in response to the detected reproduction information data, reproduce audio data recorded on said compact disk in accordance with the determined reproduction order, analyze the reproduction information data detected, determine whether the left channel is to be reproduced, and reproduce audio data recorded on said compact disk in accordance with the determined reproduction order such that audio data of the left channel is reproduced if it is determined that the left channel is to be reproduced, and audio data of the right channel is reproduced if it is determined that the left channel is not to be reproduced.
