Abstract
A process of determining the three-dimensional location of a pacemaker lead in the heart of a subject is provided. The process includes the steps of acquiring a plurality of two-dimensional images of the lead; calculating the imaging geometry; identifying the two-dimensional position of the lead in each of the images; temporally interpolating the identified two-dimensional positions to identify a two-dimensional position of image at a single time; and calculating the three dimensional location of the lead from the two-dimensional position at that time.
Claims16
A process of determining the three dimensional location of a pacemaker lead in a subject's heart throughout the cardiac cycle the process comprising the steps of:
- (a) acquiring a plurality of two-dimensional images of the lead;
- (b) calculating the imaging geometry;
- (c) identifying the two-dimensional position of the lead in each of the images;
- (d) temporally interpolating the identified two-dimensional positions to identify a two-dimensional position at a single time;
- and
- (e) calculating the three dimensional location of the lead from the two-dimensional position at that time.
