Abstract
According to the invention, there is provided an inbred corn plant designated 17DHD12. This invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of the inbred corn plant 17DHD12, and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing the inbred plant 17DHD12 with itself or with another corn plant, such as another inbred. This invention further relates to corn seeds and plants produced by crossing the inbred plant 17DHD12 with another corn plant, such as another inbred, and to crosses with related species. This invention further relates to the inbred and hybrid genetic complements of the inbred corn plant 17DHD12, and also to the RFLP and genetic isozyme typing profiles of inbred corn plant 17DHD12.
Claims39
Inbred corn seed of the corn plant designated 17DHD12, a sample of said seed having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. 209755.
An inbred corn plant produced by growing the seed of an inbred corn plant designated 17DHD12, a sample of the seed of said inbred corn plant designated 17DHD12 having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. 209755.
An essentially homogeneous population of corn plants produced by growing the seed of an inbred corn plant designated 17DHD12, a sample of said seed having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. 209755.
A corn plant having all the physiological and morphological characteristics of the inbred corn plant 17DHD12, a sample of the seed of said inbred corn plant 17DHD12 having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. 209755.
A tissue culture of regenerable cells of inbred corn plant 17DHD12, wherein the tissue regenerates plants having all the physiological and morphological characteristics of corn plant 17DHD12, a sample of the seed of said corn plant 17DHD12 having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. 209755.
A process of preparing corn seed, comprising crossing a first parent corn plant with a second parent corn plant, wherein said first or second corn plant is the inbred corn plant 17DHD12, a sample of the seed of said inbred corn plant 17DHD12 having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. 209755, wherein seed is allowed to form.
