Abstract
The use of an NO synthase inhibitor, for example L-NMMA, in inhibiting the production of airway mucus secretion, e.g., in cystic fibrosis, chronic bronchitis and emphysema, is disclosed.
Claims6
A method of inhibiting the production of airway mucus in a patient in need of such treatment which comprises administering an effective amount of an NO synthase inhibitor to the lungs of the mammal.
