Abstract
A series of pyridinyl tri-substituted benzamide derivatives of general structure ##STR1## wherein the symbols R.sup.1, R.sup.2, X and n are described in detail in the specification, are useful as anticonvulsants agents.

The compound of Formula I and its pharmaceutically ##STR13## acceptable salts and hydrates thereof, wherein
- R.sup.1 is selected from hydrogen, lower acyl, and lower alkyl;
- R.sup.2 is lower alkyl;
- X is halogen;
- and
- n is zero or an integer selected from 1 to 4.
