Method of forming images

A method of forming color images comprising the steps of:

• exposing imagewise and developing a photosensitive material having on a support at least three light-sensitive layers which have their individual sensitivities in different wavelength regions, each of the layers comprising light-sensitive silver halide, a binder and a dye-providing coupler, and the dyes formed from dye-providing couplers in the layers being different in hue, thereby forming at least three dye images of different colors;
• converting image information thus obtained into optical or electric information without performing additional processing of removal of the residual silver halide and the developed silver from the photosensitive material;
• and then forming color images in a separate recording material by using the thus converted information.
