Ammonia generator absorber heat exchanger cycle

An ammonia GAX (Generator Absorber Heat Exchanger) absorption cycle, comprising:

• an absorber having a solution cooling absorber and a GAX absorber for producing a strong solution;
• a generator for generating a weak solution and a coolant vapor;
• a rectifier for heating said coolant vapor to rectify it;
• a first pipe for passing at least part of said strong solution through the rectifier to rectify said coolant vapor into a highly concentrated coolant vapor;
• a second pipe for passing said at least part of the strong solution passed from the first pipe and heated in the rectifier into the GAX absorber of said absorber for providing heat exchange with said weak solution from the generator;
• a third pipe for passing said at least part of the strong solution passed from the first pipe and heated in the rectifier to the solution cooling absorber of said absorber for providing heat exchange with said weak solution;
• and
• means for passing said at least part of the strong solution passed from the second and third pipes and heated in the rectifier to said generator for providing heat exchange with said coolant vapor and said weak solution produced in the generator,
• wherein said passing means includes means for combining said at least part of the strong solution passed from the second pipe with that passed from the third pipe to absorb at least part of steam in said coolant vapor and at least partly rectifying the steam.
