Abstract
The present invention refers to immortalized dendritic cells, to a process for their production from primary cultures and to their use for the activation, in vivo or in vitro, of T lymphocytes in antigen specific way.
Claims12
Isolated immortalized mammalian dendritic cells which have been transduced with a VN11 retroviral vector containing a v-myc oncogene, wherein expression of the oncogene results in the immortalization of the dendritic cells, wherein said immortalized mammalian dendritic cells retain the function of processing and presenting antigen.
A process for immortalizing mammalian dendritic cells comprising transfecting primary cultures of mammalian dendritic cells with a VN11 retroviral vector containing a v-myc oncogene, wherein the expression of said oncogene results in the immortalization of said dendritic cells, and wherein the resulting immortalized mammalian dendritic cells retain the function of processing and presenting antigen.
