Abstract
A dimethylamine silver chloride complex is used as a single source precursor for nucleation of silver chloride crystals.
Claims5
A method of preparing a solution of a dimethylamine silver chloride complex comprising reacting (CH.sub.3).sub.2 NH.sub.2 !Cl with AgCl and water.
A method of preparing a solution of a dimethylamine silver chloride complex comprising reacting (CH.sub.2).sub.2 NH.sub.2 !Cl with silver nitrate and water.
A solution of a silver chloride precursor complex comprising (CH.sub.3).sub.2 NH.sub.2 !.sub.x Ag.sub.m Cl.sub.n ! in water wherein, if n=2, x=1, m=1;
- if n=3, x=2, m=1;
- if n=4, x=2, m=2;
- and if n=5, x=3, m=2.
The method of precipitating silver chloride by introducing (CH.sub.3).sub.2 NH.sub.2 !.sub.x Ag.sub.m Cl.sub.n ! into water or introducing water to (CH.sub.3).sub.2 NH.sub.2 !.sub.x Ag.sub.m Cl.sub.n ! wherein, if n=2, x=1, m=1;
- if n=3, x=2, m=1;
- if n=4, x=2, m=2;
- and if n=5, x=3, m=2.
A method of nucleating silver chloride crystals comprising precipitating said crystals from (CH3).sub.2 NH.sub.2 !.sub.x Ag.sub.m Cl.sub.n ! in water, wherein if n=2, x=1 and m=1;
- if n=3, x=2 and m=1;
- if n=4, x=2 and m=2;
- and if n=5, x=3 and m=2.
