Abstract
The invention provides compounds according to the formula ##STR1## in which: Ha=I or Br X=CH.sub.2 or C=O R.sup.1 =C.sub.1-4 alkyl R.sup.2 =--NHSO.sub.2 R.sup.3 ; --NHCOR.sup.3 ; or --NHCONHR.sup.3 where R.sup.3 =--CF.sub.3,C.sub.1-3 alkyl, 4-R.sup.4 C.sub.6 H.sub.4 --; where R.sup.4 =C.sub.1-4 alkoxy-; hydroxy-; fluoro-; or nitro-; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The compounds may particularly be used in the treatment of T3 regulated gene disorders and diseases.

Compounds according to the formula:
- ##STR3## in which:
- Ha=I or Br;
- X=CH.sub.2 or C=O;
- R.sup.1 =C.sub.1-4 alkyl;
- R.sup.2 =-NHSO.sub.2 R.sup.3 ;
- --NHCOR.sup.3 ;
- or --NHCONHR.sup.3 ;
- where R.sup.3 =-CF.sub.3, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, or 4-R.sup.4 C.sub.6 H.sub.4 --;
- where R.sup.4 =C.sub.1-4 alkoxy-;
- hydroxy-;
- fluoro-;
- or nitro-;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
