Abstract
Nefazodone and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts are useful in prophylactic treatment of recurrent headache disorders, as, in particular, vascular and migraine headaches.

A method for prophylactic treatment of recurrent headache disorders which comprises administering a non-toxic therapeutically effective dose of nefazodone or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof to a patient in need of such treatment.
