Disclosed is a toner for developing an electrostatic latent image, said toner having a BET specific surface area of not less than 5m.sup.2 /g and a particle size distribution (2SD) of not more than 5 .mu.m.

A toner for developing an electrostatic latent image, said toner having a BET specific surface area of not less than 5 m.sup.2 /g, a particle size distribution (2SD) of not more than 5 .mu.m, and an average particle size by volume of said toner of 2 to 10 .mu.m.
A developer for developing an electrostatic latent image, comprising a toner, wherein said toner has a BET specific surface area of not less than 5 m.sup.2 /g and a particle size distribution (2SD) of not more than 5 .mu.m.
