Abstract
Isolated nucleic acid molecules encoding polysialyl transferases, and the polysialyl transferases themselves are disclosed. SEQ ID NOS: 1, 2, 7 and 8 present examples of these. The nucleic acid molecules and the proteins can be used diagnostically or therapeutically. Additionally, antisense oligonucleotides and antibodies are described, which can also be used diagnostically or therapeutically.
Claims8
An isolated nucleic acid molecule consisting of from about 10 nucleotides to about 50 nucleotides wherein said isolated nucleic acid molecule hybridizes to a nucleic acid molecule which encodes a polysialyl trasferase, and has a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of;
- the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 1, the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 7, and the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 8.
