An aqueous pharmaceutical composition comprising a prostaglandin, a polyethoxylated castor oil in an amount effective to enhance the chemical stability of the prostaglandin, an antimicrobial preservative and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle.
An method for the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension, comprising the topical administration to an affected eye of an aqueous composition comprising a prostaglandin, a polyethoxylated castor oil, an antimicrobial preservative and an ophthalmically acceptable vehicle, wherein the polyethoxylated castor oil is present in an amount effective to enhance the chemically stability of the prostaglandin.
