Abstract
Quinoxaline-2,3-(1H,4H)-diones of the formula I ##STR1## and their tautomeric and enantiomeric forms and their physiologically tolerated salts, the variables R, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 have the meanings specified in claim 1, and are useful for therapeutic treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, neurotoxic disturbances or as antiepileptics, antidepressants and anxiolytics; and drugs composed thereof.
Claims4
A quinoxaline-2,3(1H,4H)-dione of the general formula I ##STR88## or a tautomer or enantiomer thereof, or a physioligically tolerated salt thereof, wherein,
- R.sup.1 is hydrogen;
- a cycloaliphatic radical having up to 8 carbon atoms;
- an aliphatic radical having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms which can carry one or two an identical or different substituents selected form the group consisting of phenyl, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl, --COR.sup.3, --CO--O--R.sup.3, --CO--NH--R.sup.3, --OR.sup.3, --CN and ##STR89## wherein, where R.sup.3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, phenyl, benzyl, 1-phenylethyl and 2-phenylethyl;
- and where the cycloaliphatic radical or phenyl ring contained in R.sup.1 or representing R.sup.1 optionally carries up to three identical or different substituents selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkoxy, halogen, nitro, cyano, --CO--OR.sup.5, --CO--NH--R.sup.5, --OH, .dbd.O and ##STR90## where R.sup.5, independently of R.sup.3, has the same meanings as R.sup.3 ;
- R.sup.2 is a pyrrole group:
- ##STR91## where R.sup.6 is a radical selected from the group consisting of ##STR92## where R.sup.7 is hydrogen or branched or linear C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl which can carry one or two phenyl rings;
- R.sup.8 is a radical selected from the group consisting of ##STR93## where R.sup.10 is hydrogen or a branched or linear C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl which can carry one or two phenyl rings;
- and
- R.sup.9 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, phenyl, a branched or linear C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl which can carry one or two phenyl rings, ##STR94## m is an integer from 1 to 41 p and q, independently of one another, are a number from 0 to 4;
- where the phenyl groups if present in R.sup.7, R.sup.9 and R.sup.10, and in the phenyl rings if representing R.sup.8 and R.sup.9, can be substituted by a radical selected from the group consisting of halogen, --NO.sub.2, --CF.sub.3, --CN, --OH, --OCH.sub.3, --NH.sub.2, --NHCOCH.sub.3, --OCF.sub.3, --CO.sub.2 --(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl), --CO.sub.2 H, --CONH.sub.2, --CONH--(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl), --CH.sub.2 --NHCOCF.sub.3, --CH.sub.2 NH.sub.2 and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl;
- R is a radical selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, trichloromethyl, trifluoromethoxy, trichloromethoxy, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, nitro, cyano and a fused-on benzene ring, said fused-on benzene ring optionally carrying one or two of the radicals selected form the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, trichloromethyl, trifluoromethoxy, trichloromethoxy, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, nitro and cyano;
- and
- n is an integer from 0 to 2, or n is 0 or 1 for the fused-on benzene ring.
