An orally adminstrable tablet or capsule consisting essentially of the ascorbic-6-acid ester of gamma-linolenic acid or the ascorbic-6-acid ester of dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
A parenteral composition consisting essentially of the ascorbic-6-acid ester of gamma-linolenic acid or the ascorbic-6-acid ester of dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
