Abstract
The present invention describes an imaging element having a support, and at least one layer formed from an aqueous coating composition containing a film forming binder. The film forming binder is a mixture of a polyurethane and a carboxylic acid containing polymer or copolymer having a glass transition temperature of at least 40.degree. C. and an acid number of 60 to 260. The carboxylic acid containing polymer or copolymer is reacted with ammonia or amine so that the coating composition has a pH of from 7 to 10.
Claims10
An imaging element comprising a support having thereon at least one layer formed from an aqueous coating composition containing a film forming binder wherein the film forming binder comprises a mixture of a polyurethane and a carboxylic acid containing vinyl polymer having a glass transition temperature of at least 40.degree. C. and an acid number of from 60 to 260 wherein the carboxylic acid containing vinyl polymer is reacted with ammonia or amine so that the aqueous coating composition has a pH of from 7 to 10.
