Abstract
A position detecting device includes a moving body, and a detection mechanism which detects a moving position of the moving body on the basis of a level of a detection signal, wherein a peak value of the level of the detection signal is set to be obtained at an intermediate point within a moving range of the moving body.

A position detecting device comprising:
- a moving body;
- and
- a detection mechanism which detects a moving position of said moving body on the basis of a level of a detection signal,
- wherein a peak value of the level of the detection signal is set to be obtained at an intermediate point within a moving range of said moving body.
