Abstract
The present invention relates to novel antifungal antibiotics herein designated as pradimicin L and pradimicin FL, and derivatives thereof. Pradimicins L and FL are produced by Actinomadura verrucosospora subsp. neohibisca strain R103-3, ATCC No. 53930.
Claims10
A compound having the formula ##STR6## wherein R.sup.1 is methyl or hydroxymethyl, and the resulting amino acid residue has the D-configuration;
- and
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen or C.sub.1-5 alkyl;
- provided that when R.sup.1 is methyl, R.sup.2 cannot be hydrogen;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
