Abstract
Soluble covalent HCV NS3-NS4A complexes comprising the catalytic domain of native HICV NS3 protease fused to an HCV NS4A cofactor, wherein the cofactor has been modified to prevent cleavage by the HCV NS3 protease.
Claims5
An isolated soluble, active covalent HCV NS3-NS4A complex which consists of the catalytic domain of native HCV NS3 protease fused to an HCV NS4A cofactor, wherein said cofactor has been modified by deletion or substitution of one or more amino acid residues to prevent cleavage by the HCV NS3 protease.
The covalent HCV NS3-NS4A complex of claim further comprising a solubilizing motif fused to said complex.
